Women's Digital Watches
First invented in 1959 by the Hamilton Watch Company in the USA, electric digital watches took a while to develop into reliable cost effective timepieces. By the 70's and 80's men's and women's digital watches took off with brands such as Seiko, Timex and Casio taking the lead in development and marketing. Today, women's digital watches offer the ability to fit more functions into a watch than is possible with an analogue display. They are also seen as trendy by younger women when worn in retro styles and bold colours to contrast with fashionable outfits.
